ABOUT US
This festival has come from the need to see more Native American film on mainstream screens. The specific theme of coming of age with a focus on boys will hopefully be an encouragement against stereotyping and racism towards young men of Native American heritage. In turn, this will allow them to grow up in a society where they can celebrate their heritage safely.
Our Logo:
Our logo is a Native American symbol which we think summarises the festival. The 'Man in the Maze' represents a person’s journey through life and the choices they make.

Our Name:
The name Becoming is what we thought summarised all that we are trying to explore in this festival. The act of becoming a man when the boys 'come-of-age,' but also coming into their heritage as Native American.
